This song tells the story of Sucha Singh Jawanda, known as Sucha Soorma in folk songs. Sucha restored the family honor by killing his sister-in-law Balbiro and her alleged extramarital lover Ghukkar, who at one time was his own best friend. Sucha temporarily left his village for a year. One day, on his way back to his village to see his brother Narain, he came across an old Hindu woman crying outside her house. Upon inquiring, he came to know that some Muslims in the village were ill-treating the Hindus. They stole, slaughtered and feasted on their cattle and were forcing the Hindus to eat it, too. Sucha went to the scoundrels and tried to stop them as they were about to kill another cow, but they went ahead with the killing anyway. Sucha got mad and shot five of them down; one of them was Ahmed Pathan. Later, Sucha joined a group of dacoits and ran havoc in the area. Soon, a similar situation arose. Raj Kaur, a widow and mother of two sons from a village in Bathinda, had a love affair with Gujjan. Her sons tried to stop her but she would not listen. On the contrary, she got her elder son Basant beaten up by her lover Gujjan. Basant made contact with Sucha about the problem his mother had put his family in. Sucha responded quickly and killed both Raj Kaur and Gujjan. Police tracked Sucha down in the village Kotshamir (now in modern day Pakistan) and hanged him in the village Gehri in 1911.
